Full Body Skin Checks involve a process of examining all skin of the head, neck, limbs and torso, with exclusion of genitals unless you are concerned about a lesion in these areas. The process begins by examining exposed skin and then allowing privacy to remove clothes for examination of the remainder of the limbs and torso. The skin is examined with good lighting both by looking at the skin and touching any abnormal areas. This process is aided with the use of a specialised light and magnification tool called a dermatoscope.

Lesion Check and Dermoscopy
When a specific lesion requires evaluation this done by taking a history and performing an examination. The examination involves the appearance of the lesion with and without magnification and specialised lighting of a dermatoscope. This allows the lesion features not visible under normal condition to be evaluated and algorithms used to determine either a diagnosis or a management plan to be developed.
