About Us
Whitsunday Skin Cancer Clinic is a specialty skin cancer clinic dedicated to providing comprehensive skin checks and excisions. Our experienced team is committed to offering the best care and treatment for skin cancer treatment and prevention. Our doctors have undertaken additional training in skin cancer detection and management.

We take self-referral and GP referrals from the greater Whitsunday area - Bowen, Collinsville, Proserpine, Cannonvale, Airlie Beach and even the Whitsunday Islands including Hamilton Island.

Whitsunday Skin Cancer Clinic performs the following:
- Full Body Skin Checks
- Targeted lesion (mole/spot) checks
- Topical therapy for skin conditions
- Cryotherapy of pre-malignant and benign (warts and skin tags) skin lesions
- Skin biopsies
- Mouth/tongue biopsies
- Excisions of benign and malignant skin lesions
- Complex skin excisions including flaps and grafts
- Wedge excisions of lips and ears
- Laceration repairs
- Ingrown toenail procedures

Our Team
Dr. Colin Giorcelli
Dr Colin is our Principal Skin Cancer Doctor at Whitsunday Skin Cancer Clinic. He is a Specialist Rural Generalist holding a fellowship with the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine and Advanced Skill Training in Surgery. He has undertaken additional training with the Skin Cancer College of Australasia.

Dr Giorcelli works publicly performing endoscopy, complex skin cancer procedures and a variety of other surgical procedures. He has been providing skin cancer services to the Whitsundays since 2018.

- Masters of Public Health and Tropical Medicine (MPHTM)
- Fellowship Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (FACRRM)
- Certificate of Dermoscopy (SCCA)
- Certificate of Skin Cancer Medicine (SCCA)
- Advanced Clinical Certificate of Dermoscopy (SCCA)
Tracey (Registered Nurse)
Tracey is our practice nurse and has worked in the Whitsundays for over 20 years in clinics and the hospital. She has extensive experience in general nursing, wound care, procedure assistance and aftercare.
Katie (Practice Manager)
Katie is the friendly face you will see when coming to our clinic. She is our Practice Manger taking care of our business and finance procedures in addition to general reception
